Some 125 information officers from the different regional offices of the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources(BFAR) attended the BFAR Information officers' Workshop and Media Conference on RA 10654 and Illegal, Unreported and Unregulated Fishing(IUUF) from Oct. 27-28, at the City Garden Suites, here. The conference aimed to make the public aware about RA 8550 (The Philippine Fisheries Code of 1998) as amended by the recently-signed RA 10654, or the act to prevent, deter and eliminate IUUF.
