The Bureau of Agriculture Research (BAR) and the WorldFish center are collaborating on a project to enhance the capacity of stakeholders to commercialize aquaculture technology. BAR and the Los Baños-based WorldFish Center sealed an agreement recently to work on the "Aquaculture Technology Commercialization and Awareness Program (AQUATECH) in the Philippines Capacity Building Project." Recently, BAR director Dr. Nicomedes P. Eleazar presided over the pre-implementation meeting of the two agencies in Quezon City. Eleazar said the Department of Agriculture (DA) is allowing a budget to establish income generating and technology-developing agriculture and fisheries research stations all over the country.en
