(AAC) into the milkfish market in China represents an achievement for aquaculture and may perk up interest in managed fisheries amid reports about declining fish populations in the open seas. Agriculture Secretary Proceso J. Alcala has been batting for the expansion of community-based hatcheries that will be controlled by fishermen themselves and he has already succeeded in establishing such finfish hatcheries in Quezon.
