More than 15,000 milkfish fingerlings were given free yesterday to 53 fishpond operators as livelihood assistance after being hit by the dry season last March in Barangays Biday, Bangcusay, and Dalumpinas. Dolores Gurtiza, fisheries chief of the City Agriculture Office (CAO), said that this city acquired worth of fingerlings at apiece and gave them away to those listed to have incurred losses due to the drought.
