The Provincial Bantay Dagat Task Force sought to prosecute five fishermen caught using dynamites over the weekend. The fishermen were Roland Salvacion (43), Reymar Davasol (23), Nacer Balila (29), Niel Zerrudo (43), and Romnick Navarro (26). All were residents of Buenavista, Guimaras. A criminal complaint for violation of Paragraphs 1 and 3 of Section 88 (Fishing through Explosives, Noxious or Poisonous Substance, and/or Electricity) of Republic Act 8550 was filed against the erring fishermen before the Provincial Prosecutor's Office yesterday.
