The Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) has finally lifted the shellfish ban in Bataan, after imposing it for more than a year in eight coastal towns. BFAR imposed the prohibition on the gathering, transporting and eating of shellfish in Bataan last November 201 that it lifted August, 2014. However after a few days, BFAR declared again high toxicity levels in the water and reissued the ban in October, 2014.
