This month, the Department of Agriculture celebrates the contribution of the agri-fishery laborers to growth ofPhilippine agriculture and present economic status of the country. Agriculture Secretary Proceso J. Alcala will lead today the Farmers' and Fisherfolk's Month festivities aimed at giving recognition and credit to the farmers and fishers who remain the backbone of rural development. "Marapat lamang po na kilalanin natin ang ating mga bosing sa palayan at palaisdaan, at lahat ng katulong natin sa pagpapalago ng sektor ng agrikultura," Alcala said.
