    Excerpt
BFAR’s bulletin on Aug. 15 showed that shellfishes collected from the waters of Batan, Altavas and New Washington were red-tide free. International and domestic tourists are fond of eating shrimps, oysters, squids and fishes from these towns. Shellfishes and alamang from Carles, Iloilo were reported to be positive of the red tide toxin. BFAR advised the public to thoroughly wash fishes, shrimps and squids before cooking.
