    Excerpt
The fish tuloy is very abundant this month and is expected to be more abundant in the coming months of the year. At the fishing port, fishermen haul their catch from the nets (waswas), put them in fish tubs (banyera) and immediately sell them very fresh there. Provincial Administrator Dr. Raul Banias attributes the resurgence of marine life to the effective implementation of fishery laws and ordinances against trawls, hulbot-hulbot and dynamite fishing, and to the implementation of "closed season" for herrings, sardines and mackerel from November to March every year.
