    The Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources regional office here(BFAR-8) has issued a warning that red tide toxins continue to persists in Eastern Visayas bays, and that the public should refrain from gathering shellfishes in red tide affected areas. Based on BFAR-8's report, Maqueda Bay and Villareal Bay in Samar are now positive for red tide toxin, along with the coastal water of Daram, Irong-Irong Bay Cambatutay Bay, both in Samar, Matarinao Bay in Eastern Samar, the coastal waters of Leyte town and Carigara Bay, which are both in Leyte province, and the coastal waters of Biliran province.
