local.descriptionAgriculture Secretary Emmanuel ‘Manny’ Piñol will sit as the chairperson of the 40th United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (UN-FAO) Conference in Rome, Italy from July 3-8. This year’s conference will review the State of Food and Agriculture, to be conducted in parallel session with discussions on global and regional policy and regulatory matters arising from various regional reports. The conference, which convenes every two years, is the ministerial-level body of the UN-FAO. Meanwhile, Piñol is also set to meet with Filipino community leaders, wherein he is expected to promote local products to help boost Philippine agri-fishery exports to Italy.en
