Live marine turtles or “Pawikan” believed to be illegally caught were rescued by men from the Philippine Navy (PN) in Sitio Salingsingan, Barangay Mangsee, Balabac, Palawan, it was learned yesterday. The Naval Forces West (NAVFORWEST) said the sea turtles, hidden under laminated sacks in the beachfront, were discovered during a seaborne patrol operation last May 14.
