    At least 29 fishermen were rounded up and their two fishing boats seized when “Bantay Dagat” teams allegedly caught them in the act of illegal fine mesh net fishing in waters off Barangay 48-San Antonio, this city. Superintendent Roderick de la Peña Tonga, city police officer in-charge, and said the sea patrol team caught the fishermen, mostly from Navotas City, Metro Manila, aboard “F/B Prince Robie” and “F/B Super Manuel” around midnight Thursday. Patrols against illegal fishing and smuggling have been boosted in the coast of Bacoor District, Cavite City, Rosario (also called Salinas), Kawit, Noveleta, Tanza, Naic, Ternate and Maragondon.
