    Excerpt
The Department of Agriculture (DA) will be re-stocking the Laguna de Bay and other lakes, rivers and creeks with indigenous fish species and non-invasive, commercially viable species to revive the declining fish stocks. The initiative called “Balik Sigla sa Ilog at Lawa” or Project Basil aims to revive inland bodies of water where decline of fish stocks has been observed. The rehabilitation will be done through clean up, enhancement of indigenous stocks, and seeding of non-invasive, commercially viable fish species in the inland waters.
