Three fishermen were apprehended by maritime patrollers for allegedly engaging in illegal fishing in Sorsogon Bay late last week, the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) said. While conducting seaborne patrol off Barangay Buenavista, Sorsogon City, patrollers spotted an unmarked motorboat and subsequently apprehended two fishermen on board who were using illegal fine nets, locally known as "Chinese bobo," around 6 a.m. last Thursday. The PCG identified the suspects as Egleserio Haveria Jaramiel, 34 and his 15-year-old companion, both of Barangay Bucalbucalan, Sorsogon.en
