Three members of a family, including three children, died after partaking in a meal of puffer fish, locally known as “tikong” or “butete,” on the island barangay of Cabugao, here, last Thursday. Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR)-Bicol Regional Director Dennis del Socorro said it was the parent of the three children who cooked the fish which they had for dinner. But shortly after, Jovelyn Barba Alano, 11; his brother Jhon Win, 1; and their third sibling – whose name has not yet been recorded by authorities – dropped dead inside their house.en
