The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) allotted P83.5 million to finance the cultivation of high quality seaweeds in at least eight towns in the first congressional district of Sulu province. Sulu Rep. Habib Tupay Loong said the amount will be used to purchase high quality seaweeds for planting along the coast of Hadji Panglima Tahil, Indanan, Jolo, Maimbung, Panguturan, Parang, Patikul and Talipao provinces. Loong said the P83.5-M aid would be of great help to the farmers.
