    Excerpt
Do not harvest, sell, buy, or eat shellfish from red tide affected areas. The Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) warned consumers to avoid shellfish collected from the coastal waters of Mambuquiao and Camansi in Batan, Aklan. Earlier, BFAR has also raised a red tide alert in Sapian Bay, which covers Ivisan and Sapian towns in Capiz province. In a Sept. 11 shellfish bulletin, BFAR said the waters in these areas are still positive for paralytic shellfish portion that is beyond the regulatory limit.
