    Guimaras ' inland fish production drops 8.82%

    The inland municipal fisheries production in Guimaras reached 57.06 metric tons in 2024, down 8.82% from 62.58 metric tons in 2023. The top five species caught in inland municipal waters in 2024 were tilapia, spadefish, white shrimp, mullet, and tarpon. Tilapia recorded the highest production volume at 7.38 metric tons, accounting for 12.93% of the total inland output.
