BFAR justifies feed mill plant on private properly

The Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Region 6 (BFAR-6) defended its decision to construct a government-funded feed mill plant inside the Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center (SEAFDEC) in Tigbauan, Iloilo, citing the organization’s research and technological expertise in fisheries development. “They are a research institution. We are scaling up the technology and for innovation, we need to reach and we see that there is already a facility and it’s just a matter of scaling up,” said BFAR-6 Director Remia Aparri in an interview with the Daily Guardian on Tuesday.
