Seven individuals were arrested for illegal fishing in the waters of Barangay Balogo, Pilar, Capiz. The authorities have requested that the names of the suspects, all residents of Estancia, Iloilo, not be disclosed. According to reports from the Pilar Municipal Police Station, the Capiz Provincial Bantay Dagat Group was conducting a seaborne patrol on the afternoon of Oct. 20 when they caught the suspects engaged in illegal fishing using trawls.
