    Excerpt
A team from the Environmental Management Bureau in Western Visayas ( EMB- 6), which is under the regional office of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR-6) has been sent to Antique to check on any environmental hazard that might have resulted from a cargo barge spilling coal into seawater there, after it ran aground in the town of Tobias Fornier. EMB- 6 Regional Director, Jonathan Bulos said the team was sent to Barangay Balud, Tobias Fornier, yesterday. He said DENR-6 Regional Director Jim Sampulna ordered the team to conduct water sampling to verify if seawater in the coastal village of Balud has been contaminated with coal.
