Some 200 aquaculturists, fish scientists and researchers of 15 countries in Asia and the Pacific participated in this conference sponsored by the Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center and the International Development Research Center of Canada. The international congress is intended to become a medium for an international exchange of technologies among participating countries. The Philippine Minister said that the conference is a dramatic manifestations of trust and confidence of foreign participants in the Philippine government.
