The Iloilo Science and Technology University (Isatu) is pushing a project to develop wine from seaweeds found in the coastal areas of Panay Island. The Department of Science and Technology-Philippine Council for Health Research and Development (PCHRD) has given its support to the project titled "Assessment of potential health benefits and safety of wines produced from brown, green, and red seaweeds."
