    Excerpt
One of the extremely rare species of deepwater sharks was accidentally captured by a fisherman in Albay, early morning on Wednesday. Edgar Chavez, a fisherman from Barangay Marigondon, Pioduran, Albay, caught the megamouth shark (Megachasma pelagios) in the high seas known as the Burias-Ticao Pass, where the "butanding" or whale shark is often seen. Chave said the heavy catch in his net around 2 a.m. WEdnesday made his heart leap. "Nung tiningnan ko, kakaibang isda, pero patay na siya (When I checked, it was a different fish, but dead)," he said.
