Fifteen suspected illegal fishermen were arrested Tuesday morning after they were caught in the act of using unauthorized fishing methods at sea in Barangay Kanluran Calutan, this town. Senior Superintendent Ronaldo Genaro Ylagan, head of Quezon Police, said the illegal fishers were Alijandro Paderon, boat captain, 49; Joselito San Pascual, 48; Ronel Pinida, 36; Orlando Mendoza, 50; Joel Oliva Cabanilla, 27; Jaime Butabara Jr., 38; Fernando Cabaque, 34; Leo Paderon Perez, 40; Reymundo Perez, 42; Jay-Ar Paderon, 26; Rodrigo Manzano, 37; Hewnry L. Magallom, 60; Danilo Botabar, 50; Daniel Botabara; and Rodrigo Abondo, all residents of Barangay Ransohan, Lucena City. Ylagan said while the police were conducting seaborne patrol operation along the seas around 5 a.m., they spotted the suspects on the act of illegal fishing on board the fishing boat, MB Clarence Rens.
