    Excerpt
The prices of such agricultural products in the province were so high that some Antiqueños said they prefer to eat pork and dressed chicken in the past weeks. Leah Gonzales, provincial director of the Department of Trade and Industry, said there is nothing her office can do to control the prices of agricultural products. "It's a matter of supply and demand," she said. In a recent survey of prices during the market days in San Jose and Sibalom towns (Monday and Tuesday, respectively), the per-kilo prices were way higher than in the markets in Iloilo City.
