Forty-eight fishermen onboard 14 motorboats were apprehended for illegal fishing off Tagubanhan Island in Barangay Bagongon, Concepcion town. The Provincial Bantay Dagat Task Force said the fishermen were using active gears in catching shrimps and squids on Monday night. Municipal Ordinance No. 01 in2008 bans the use of active gears in municipal waters. It was passed in support to the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources' Fisheries Administrative Order 201.
