The city government has allowed recreational fishing in Burnham Lake as one of the activities here starting Monday, June 13. The City Environment and Parks Management Office (CEPMO) announced that they are now accepting applications for permit from fishing enthusiasts and hobbyists subject to a set of guidelines. According to Sandra Almag, supervising administrative officer, a hobbyist or applicant must first obtain a permit from the CEPMO before undertaking any fishing activity in Burnham Lake. Almag said the permit is non-transferable and bearers should only be residents of the city with basic fishing knowledge to avoid any adverse events both to man and fish in the lake.en
