Mangrove nursery now supplies seeds

The mangrove seedling nursery in a barangay in this city now supplies planting materials to areas devoted to mangrove and beach forest species. Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Eastern Visayas Regional Director Leonardo Sibbaluca said the seedling nursery within the mangrove plantation in Anibong district is being managed by the Community Environment and Natural Resources Office, based in Palo, Leyte, in collaboration with Barangay 69. Sibbaluca said the nursery can turn out 40,000 seedlings in four to six months.
