    We abhor the recent event in the Ayungin Shoal and view with grave concern other similar developments. This does not speak well of the relations between our nations and ours partnership. President Duterte stressed this as the he brought up the Ayungin (Second Thomas) Shoal incident during the country's participant in the ASEAN-China Special Summit on Monday Nov. 22.
