    The Philippine and United States have agreed to conduct joint maritime patrol operations in the South China Sea (SCS) to ensure peace and stability in the troubled waters. The Us Department of Defense (DOD) announced this on Thursday, Feb .2, amid chine's continued aggression in the West Philippine Sea (WPS), a portion of the vast SCS that is within the Philippines' 200-nautical mile exclusive economic zone (EEZ).
