    Excerpt
The Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) has filed charges against the purported Taiwanese poachers apprehended off Babuyan Claro in Cagayan province last June 11. Based on the incident report by the quick response team members of BFAR-Cagayan Valley, they were conducting routine patrol onboard the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG)-manned BFAR patrol Vessel MCS 3007, when they chanced upon a stationary fishing vessel about 17 nautical miles northeast off Babuyan Claro in the Calayan Group of Islands. The inspection of papers also revealed that the vessel identified as F/B Der Maan Fure No. 03 with side mark CT35399 is registered in Taiwan.
