The tense situation at trouble-plagued Seafdec-AQD took a turn for the worse yesterday when newly-designated OIC Dr. Flor Lacanilao dismissed 12 top ranking researchers and officials of the organization. Jovy Lazaga, former head of the Manila office and one of those dismissed by Lacanilao, said that the mass firing of key men sent shock waves through the Seafdec work force including the rank-and-file.
