Hatching marine finfish eggs in controlled conditions allows them a greater chance to survive and grow into the fingerling stage. Studies and laboratory experiments conducted by the Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center Aquaculture Department (SEAFDEC-AQD) show a survival rate of up to 30% for finfish larvae.
