In the Asia-Pacific region, the leading milkfish producers are the Philippines and Indonesia. The Philippines showed particularly impressive gains in production over Indonesia. The nation has exported frozen milkfish since 1980 which is 14 times as much as in 1969 and the industry can do better this time that export quality milkfish in on hand.
