    Excerpt
Shellfish captured from Sapian Bay in Capiz and Batan in Aklan are now safe for eating, said the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR). Based on the BFAR's latest test, Sapian Bay (Ivisan and Sapian) in Capiz and Mambuquiao and Camansi in Batan, Aklan was declared free from the toxic red tide toxin. All shell types and acetes or alamang (tiny shrimps) gathered, harvested and sold from these areas are safe to eat.
