Agriculture and Food Minister Ramon Mitra is looking for a suitable replacement for Dr. Alfredo C. Santiago Jr., chief of the Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center Aquaculture Department (Seafdec-AQD). Mitra said Santiago, who was nominated by former President Marcos to the Seafdec Council, has been linked to irregularities in the AQD. Mitra said he would also revamp Seafdec-AQD and rid it of corrupt officials.
