How does the Philippines compare with other countries in the export markets for frozen shrimps and prawns? A market research conducted by the aquaculture department of the Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center (Seafdec-AQD) indicated that while the Philippines has sharply increased its share in the Japanese market, the volume appeared to be only "a drop in the bucket" compared to exports of other major exporters.
