More prawn culture-related ecological damage may be expected as a result of the recent boost in prawn prices, an industry source told BusinessWorld in an interview over the weekend. Because of improved prawn prices, more and more prawn farmers, especially those who "abandoned" the trade when prices crashed in 1989, are starting to operate their farms anew.
