Fisherfolk families in most parts of the Philippines are catching only about three to four kilos of fish these days, indicating severe stress in the country's fishery resources. Speaking at a fisheries workshop here last week, Anselma Legaspi, chief of fisheries development support services of the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR), warned that Philippines municipal waters are losing their fish, for a variety of reasons.
