In these hard times, when housewives complain of the escalating food prices of fish, meat and poultry products, it's a sigh of relief to know that there is still a cheap protein alternative-molluscs. On Wednesday, April 22, the Technology Verification Project (TVP) of the Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center Aquaculture Department (Seafdec AQD) held a field day featuring a food festival, utilizing mussels and oysters as the main ingredient.
