The switch to grouper by the Sanson Farm was made possible through a collaboration with the Technology Verification Project (TVP) of the Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center, Aquaculture Department (SEAFDEC AQD), a research and development organization based in Tigbauan, Iloilo. On March 23, SEAFDEC held a field day at Sum-ag, featuring a gourmet fare of different Lapu-lapu recipes, kinilaw, bola-bola, sinigang, sweet and sour, afritada, pochero, escabeche, pinasingawan and kinarengkeng.
