The wild shrimps in Palawan's marine waters are more genetically diverse than those in other parts of the country. This was found in a study done by researchers of the Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center-Aquaculture Department (SEAFDEC-AQD) based in Tigbauan, Iloilo.
