Agriculture Undersecretary Cesar M. Drilon stressed recently the urgency of transferring aquaculture technologies to fisherfolk to help achieve food security and poverty alleviation in Southeast Asia. ADSEA '99 assessed the progress and development of aquaculture technologies in Southeast Asia, and the research and development activities of SEAFDEC-AQD.
