The Iloilo provincial capitol is taking a step closer to its dream of "bringing the pantat and tilapia back to the table of the Ilongo" by establishing a fish hatchery in Cabatuan town to produce one million fingerlings yearly to breathe life to the "appropriate technology" (approach") of "rice-fish culture." The technology is qualified "approtech" being practical. affordable to farmers and suited in rural areas.
