The fisherfolk were identified as Yolando Gino, 55; Preceliano Cong, 31; Arnil Sulas, 28; Ronie Gino, 30 and Gilbert Castanares, 42. In a report from the Mati City Information Office, the fisherfolk went to Baganga town in Davao Oriental on May 13 onboard their fishing vessel with two attached light boats.
