5 fishermen rescued off Davao

Five fisherfolk from Sarangani Province were rescued in Davao Oriental after floating in the open sea for more than a day. The fisherfolk were identified as Yolando Gino, 55; Preceliano Cong, 31; Arnil Sulas, 28; Ronie Gino, 30 and Gilbert Castanares, 42. In a report from the Mati City Information Office, the fisherfolk went to Baganga town in Davao Oriental on May 13 onboard their fishing vessel with two attached light boats. On the same day, they sailed back to Sarangani Province unaware Tropical Depression “Crising” was coming.
