Preparations are under way for the holding of the First National Congress on Philippine Lakes (LAKECON 2003) at the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP) in Tagaytay City on Nov. 25 to 28. The congress aims to identify major lake-specific issues that will serve as inputs for research and development (R&D) planning and advocacy; identify research gaps in lake resource management; and come up with a national agenda on lake resource management.
