A modern scientific laboratory was recently established at the Brackishwater Station here to better serve locals engaged in the aquaculture industry. The project was a collaborative effort of the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) and the Southeast Asian Fisheries and Development Center (SEAFDEC) with financial support from the Landbank of the Philiipines. Fish and shrimp farmers, growers and operators could request analysis for their soil, water and culture species to determine what could be applied best for their farming needs.
